Dubai-Mubasher: The UAE's investment in the aviation sector is estimated at AED 500 billion ($136 billion), according to the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
UAE is expected to handle 123 million in 2016, a rise of 12% from an estimate of 110 million passengers in 2015, according to statements said after the ceremony of honoring innovation award winners.
Emirates passengers’ figures are likely to grow to reach 53 million in 2015.
The UAE ranked second in terms of the number Open Skies agreements by 83 deals till the first half of 2015, representing 50% of the total signed agreements.
