UAE - Mubasher: The UAE has issued 648,684 business licences in May, up 1,035 licences when compared to April, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
The rise in the number of issued business licences reflects the continuity of the UAE's economic activities despite the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
Abu Dhabi and Dubai have represented 68.4% of the total licences in May, with 443,766, as shown by the latest statistics of the National Economic Register (NER).
The statistics referred that 64.2% of licences were issued to limited liability companies and individual institutions.
