Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The UAE government has launched the first bus on the new route between Dubai and Al Ain.
This new bus route will fulfil the growing demand for public transport services between the two UAE cities, in addition to boosting the quality of services offered across the UAE, a press release by the Public Transport Agency (RTA) at the Roads and Transport Authority – Dubai said on Thursday.
“The new route (E201) departs from Al Ghubaiba bus station in Dubai to the bus station in Al Ain with a frequency of 30 minutes. The bus passes by Al Jafiliya Metro Station – north, Wasl, Wasl Club 1, Emirates NBD – Nad Al Sheba, Marmoom Dairy Farm 1, Al Faqa station 1, United Arab Emirates University Mohammed bin Khalifa Street 1, City Petrol Station 1 and Sheikha Salama Mosque 1,” the statement added
Launching this bus route, officials from the Department of Transport (DoT) and the Integrated Transport Center (ITC) welcomed the passengers upon their arrival to Al Ain.
The new service comes in part of the ongoing efforts that aim at enhancing the cooperation between different stakeholders in the UAE to improve the level of services offered to the public, improve the public transport network, and make travelling between the different emirates easier, ITC stated.
Approximately 250,000 passengers are expected to use this service on an annual basis in the modern buses that are designed according to the latest technical standards and also equipped with various services, including free Wi-Fi.
