Mubasher: The UAE ranked the 1st position in the Middle East and North Africa in the 2016 Corruption Perceptions Index, according to Transparency International.
Qatar is the second least corrupt country in the region, followed by Jordan in the 3rd place.
Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Syria, South Sudan and Somalia were the most corrupt countries in the world were from the MENA region.
Denmark and New Zealand took the top spot in this year’s index, while the UK maintained its 10th place ranking and the US declined two spots to 18th.
