Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: Total assets of UAE’s national banks grew 0.3% or AED 6.3 billion ($1.71 billion) month-on-month in July 2016, according to the UAE Central Bank.
The assets of national banks totalled AED 2135.8 billion in July, compared to AED 2129.5 billion in June.
On the flipside, foreign banks' assets fell 2.3% month-on-month to reach AED 380 billion in July.
National banks’ gross credit fell to stand at AED 1336.4 billion in July, while foreign banks’ gross credit declined to reach AED 203.8 billion during the same month.
Non-residents deposits at national banks decreased 0.15% month-on-month to AED 131.4 billion in July, while non-residents deposits at foreign banks slid 13% to AED 39.4 billion in July.
