UAE markets anticipate US markets after holidays end

Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE markets will keep their upward horizontal performance on Tuesday, while investors are anticipating the US markets and oil after the end of the holidays season, according to analysts.

UAE shares posted little gains on Monday but traded volumes in both Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and Abu Dhabi Exchange (ADX) shrank.

The markets are likely to continue rising till the date of official inauguration of Donald Trump as the US president on 20 January, after that the real trend of the stocks will be determined in light of the central banks decisions, technical analyst, Ibrahim Al Felkawy, told Mubasher.

Moreover, market analyst, Harb Omar, expected that the markets would see positive rebound, while leading stocks are standing at attractive levels after Monday's fall, especially the ADX.

He added that DFM is expected to target the levels of 3,500 – 3,580 points, while ADX is currently standing at the positive target of 4,600 points, and would target 5,000 points afterwards.
