UAE markets controlled by speculators – Analysts

Dubai – Mubasher: Speculators still control UAE stocks, which suffer from the absence of stimuli, according to analysts.

This reflected on their liquidity which recorded its lowest level in 2017, they added.

The UAE markets returned to vertical trades which deal with low levels of liquidity, in addition to local and foreign portfolios still being cautious about injecting new liquidity as a result of the absence of stimuli and positive news about the listed companies, technical analyst Ahmed Ismail said.

Moreover, technical analyst Hamoud Al Enzy told Mubasher that the current levels of indices and liquidity are very limited as the number of individual traders are limited too, adding to the absence of investment appetite.

Despited the fluctuations that were seen in the global markets in the last few weeks, the UAE markets still attract capitals, technical analyst Faisal Al Maary told Mubasher.
