Dubai – Mubasher: UAE stock markets are forecast to steady on Wednesday on selective purchases of mid-cap and defensive stocks, analysts told Mubasher.
Market analyst Hassan Al-Zawi indicated purchase of some small-cap index trimmed the markets' losses yesterday.
UAE markets are likely to keep giving a mixed performance today amid a remarkable appetite for buying mid-cap stocks by nationals and investment portfolios, said Al-Zawi.
Market analyst Tarek Ghanim expected market volatility to control the trading activity over the coming two sessions with a bearish view.
In addition, liquidity is likely to improve thanks to small-cap stocks that are capturing investment funds' interests.
Yesterday, the DFM main index went up 0.70% or 23.25 points to reach 3,333.73 points, while the ADX benchmark rose 0.1% or 4.25 points to reach 4,261.23 points.
