Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The UAE national banks’ assets grew by 1.2% or AED 27.1 billion in the first seven months of 2017, according to a statement by the Central Bank of the UAE.
Assets reached AED 2.265 trillion by the end of July 2017, compared to AED 2.238 trillion in the prior-year period.
The assets of foreign banks declined 2.1% to AED 367.3 billion by the end of July 2017 from AED 375.3 billion by the end of July 2017.
The volume of national banks’ credit rose 2.2% to AED 1.408 trillion by the end of July 2017, compared to AED 1.378 trillion by the end of last year.
