Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The total credit provided by 23 UAE national banks reached AED 1.365 trillion in September, accounting for 94.45% of the total credit facilities provided by the country’s whole lenders that stood at AED 1.446 trillion, according to September quarter survey.
The credit facilities provided by, 35 foreign banks operating in UAE, amounted to AED 180.2 billion representing 12.5% of the total credit provided by UAE banks in September, according to the survey compiled by UAE central bank.
UAE national banks provided credit facilities up to AED 921.6 billion to private sector as well as AED 610.3 billion to both the industrial and commercial sectors.
Meanwhile, the UAE national banks provided personal loans of AED 311.3 billion in September.
