UAE - Mubasher: The value of financial and social benefits provided by the UAE government increased by 2% to AED 7.46 billion in 2019, compared to AED 7.32 billion in 2018, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
The UAE's financial and social benefits accounted for around 13.4% of the federal government's total expenditure during 2019, as shown by the latest statistics of the UAE Ministry of Finance.
The financial benefits recorded approximately AED 2.88 billion in 2019, while the social benefits reached around AED 4.58 billion.
These benefits include the UAE Ministry of Community Development's grants, a price and direct cash subsidy, social welfare, and the support provided to people of determination.
