UAE - Mubasher: The UAE was ranked among the world's top 20 countries in 11 global investment competitiveness indicators, reflecting the UAE's efforts to achieve comprehensive sustainable development over the recent period, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
Among these indicators are the Legatum Prosperity Index, IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook, and IMD World Digital Competitiveness Ranking, according to cited data by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority (FCSA).
The UAE was placed in the 15th position in the foreign direct investment (FDI) and technology transfer index, 15th in the business risk premium, and 12th in the extent of foreign ownership.
In the meantime, the country ranked 18th in the balance of FDI inflows, 17th in these inflows relative to GDP, seventh in the investment incentives, and 13th in the stock markets index.
The competitiveness indicators assess several factors in any country, including strategic location, strong financial reserves, large sovereign wealth funds, digital transformation, innovation, and economic diversification policy.
