UAE - Mubasher: The value of the UAE's national railway network's second stage contract packages reached AED 18 billion, the executive director of relations in Etihad Rail told the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
Muhammad Rashid Al Marzouqi referred that the second phase's construction, which started in January 2020, extends from Ghuweifat on the borders with Saudi Arabia to Fujairah on the east coast.
Al Marzouqi added that the company is constructing a series of freight stations for the railway network.
Meanwhile, Etihad Rail started manufacturing a new fleet of locomotives to increase its fleet to 45 locomotives.
