UAE - Mubasher: The UAE was placed in the fifth position among 60 countries and first in the Middle East and Africa in the business section of the 'Global Skills Index 2020' report by Coursera, the leading online education platform.
The report referred that although the UAE is one of the world's leading countries in the business domain, the country should exert more efforts to improve its data science skills necessary for digital transformation.
Meanwhile, the UAE ranked fourth in the Middle East and Africa and 50th globally in mastering the skills of data science with 17% proficiency, reflecting the lack of data scientists and reliance on data-based analysis.
As for the other countries in the region, Saudi Arabia led the region in technology skills and was placed in 28th position globally, which comes in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
