Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Residents in the UAE can lease electric aircraft starting October 2019, the Academy of Technical Training reported.
These flights will be available for young men, starting the age of 14, after they pass a training period in Ghantoot club, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported, citing the academy as saying.
The electric aircraft’s external frame was manufactured in Slovenia, while its batteries and electric motors were installed by Emirati workers, chairman Lahej Saif Al Falasi said.
Named Alpha Electro, the aircraft includes two electric bicycles, Al Falasi concluded.
