Dubai – Mubasher: UAE-based contractor ASGC announced it has been awarded a contract by Meraas to construct the new Dubai Cruise Terminal at the Dubai Harbour waterfront development, Zawaya reported.
Once completed, the terminal will be first dedicated cruise port in the region, ASGC said in a statement.
The new Dubai Cruise Terminal, located between Bluewaters and Palm Jumeirah developments, is expected to accommodate two mega cruise ships at the same time and more than 15,000 visitors.
The value of the contract or the construction timeframe have not been revealed.
In May 2018, Meraas said that the Dubai Cruise Terminal was set to open in October 2020.
