UAE’s Air Arabia receives 2 Airbus A320 jets

Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai-listed Air Arabia on Tuesday announced receiving two new Airbus A320 aircraft.

This transaction raises the fleet of the Middle East and North Africa’s (MENA) largest low-cost carrier to 53, according to Air Arabia's statement.

The UAE-based airline noted that the fresh jets mark the completion of all deliveries scheduled for this year.

“The delivery of our last two aircraft for 2018 marks a significant step in the development of our fleet expansion strategy, especially as we added 12 new routes this year,” Air Arabia’s CEO Adel Al Ali, said.

Air Arabia last reported an 8% profit increase to AED 110 million in the first three months of 2018.
