Dubai – Mubasher: UAE's Damac Properties is in talks to develop a significant regeneration site in London as it focuses its future expansion on the UK capital, according to Financial Times website.
The scheme would be Damac’s second in the UK after Aykon London One, a planned 50-storey luxury residential tower due to start construction this year in the Nine Elms area south of the Thames.
Damac has viewed at least 30 sites for the development and held talks with the Greater London Authority. It is aiming for a joint venture with a local company to buy and develop a site with a mix of residential and commercial property, said Hussain Sajwani, chairman.
“We want to do a master plan like Akoya in a suburb of London,” said Mr Sajwani, referring to the company’s Akoya Oxygen development in the emirate.
