Mubasher: Emirates Islamic Bank (EIB) carried out a partial divestment of its shares in Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) for BHD 48,850, according to a bourse filing on Tuesday by the Bahraini lender.
In its statement, KHCB added out of the divested 700,000 shares, 200,000 were sold at 68 fils each, 250,000 at 67 fils and 250,000 at 66 fils.
As a result, EIB’s stake in the Bahraini bank reached 8.69%.
KHCB’s net earnings for the first nine months of 2015 reached BHD 6 million ($16 million), compared with BHD 2.7 million ($7.3 million) in the same period a year ago.
