UAE - Mubasher: The post-launch testing phase of the UAE's Hope probe, the first Arab interplanetary mission, has been completed 45 days after the probe had blasted off from Japan's Tanegashima Space Centre to begin its journey to Mars.
During the commissioning phase, the Hope probe's all onboard systems were confirmed to operate nominally, the Hope Mars Mission announced on its official twitter account on Thursday.
After the probe had entered the normal operations phase, direct communications with the probe have been reduced.
The current speed of the probe, which has covered the distance of 126.66 million km, is 112,200 km/h.
In November, the mission is set to head towards the third Trajectory Control Maneuver.
It is noteworthy to mention that in the early morning hours of 20 July, the Hope Probe was launched aboard a Mitsubishi H-IIA rocket at 1:58 am (UAE Time) to provide images of Mars to better understand the atmosphere of the Red Planet when it reaches the planet's orbit in February 2021.
