UAE’s KBBO Group acquires majority stake in MD 24-7

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Emirates Hospital, a member of KBBO Group, on Sunday announced its acquisition of a 60% stake in Mobile Doctors 24-7 (MD 24-7).

“The acquisition makes KBBO Group the majority shareholder in MD 24-7, following its monumental success in what has been a transformational year,” the group said in a statement.

The MD 24-7 is a round-the-clock, state-of-the-art Population Health Management provider.

A contractor for both the public and private sectors, MD 24-7 offers over 145,000 customers a 24-7 concierge service and ensures that appropriate evidence-based medicine is utilised.

“Mobile Doctors 24-7 is a valuable asset that is a natural fit for KBBO’s numerous healthcare assets such as Emirates Hospitals and CosmeSurge. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with MD 24-7’s Management team and moving forward with its worldwide growth,” stated Yazen Abu Gulal, CEO at KBBO Group.

MD 24-7’s clientele base includes more than 230 multinational corporate clients in several countries including employers, insurance carriers, brokerage firms, TPAs as well as telecom operators such as the UAE’s Etisalat, the statement showed.

Meanwhile, MD 24-7 founder and CEO Raouf Khalil described the acquisition as “a critically important step forward in scaling our true healthcare solution that aligns both consumers and payers.”
