Dubai – Mubasher: Saudi Aramco awarded the UAE-based, National Petroleum Constructions Company (NPCC) an AED 1.2 billion engineering, procurement, and construction contract to establish offshore platforms and two pipelines in Al Safaniya oil field.
The contracts between NPCC and Aramco reached five deals after signing the last contract, with a total value of AED 3 billion, NPCC's chairman, Hussain Jassem Al Nowais said.
NPCC plans to expand its business in Saudi Arabia through establishing manufacturing facility, training centre, and an offshore support unit to achieve the increasing demand for its services there, Aqeel Abdullah Madhi, NPCC’s managing director and the CEO stated.
The contract also included constructing a dual pipeline to carry the produced crude from the platform to the gas separation plant, with a captive 20 kilometres sea cable to provide additional power supply, Madhi concluded.
