Mubasher: Sharjah-based Quality International Co., a leading process equipment manufacturer and module builder in the UAE, has expanded its reach in the US market by shipping two out of 24 modules for TOTAL’s new $1.7 billion worth of ethane steam cracker project in Port Arthur, Texas.
With this prestigious achievement in the UAE’s manufacturing sector, managing director of Quality International Shashi Ramakrishnan commented: “At Quality International, we take pride in Building Equipment and Building Nation.”
Ramakrishnan added: “We are proud to be the first UAE based equipment manufacturer to win a mega project in the US showcasing our industry’s efficiency and innovation.”
In March 2017, a joint venture project between TOTAL, Borealis, and NOVA Chemicals was announced.
TOTAL said that the $1.3 billion worth of the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract was awarded to McDermott International, formerly Chicago Bridge & Iron Company (CB&I).
It is noteworthy that Quality International designs projects and equipment as per the customer’s specific requirement in Stainless Steel, Duplex, Super Duplex, Carbon Steel, Alloy Steel, and Clad construction.
