Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has denied imposing a ban on any websites that promote or sell cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, according to an official statement released on Sunday.
The TRA stressed that it did not receive any request from the competent authorities to ban the mentioned websites.
Some users in the UAE called for banning websites promote or sell cryptocurrencies, noting that some of these websites convinced a group of users to invest in cryptocurrencies, which could expose them to fraud.
