Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Union National Bank (UNB) is seeking to get approvals to operate in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, said CEO Mohammad Nasr Abdeen
Commenting on wining the Diamond Award Category of the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award, Abdeen added that the bank is expanding its business in Gulf region and Egypt.
UNB has branches in Qatar and Kuwait, the top executive said, adding that the bank is considering expansion in Kuwait.
He went on to say that next year will be challenging for the banking sector, especially in the light of economic pressures and low oil prices coupled with unrest in the region.
