Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE’s imports from France recorded $452.28 million during 2018, becoming one of the largest importers of French products in the Middle East, recent repport showed.
Globally, France, the sixth largest exporter of produce in the world, exports up to $65 billion of food products, the French trade agency said in a report.
France’s exports to the Middle East represent $2.2 billion of the European country’s total exports, Saudi Arabia and the UAE topped the list of importers, followed by Egypt and Lebanon.
France’s most popular products being imported include beverages with 30%, followed by dairy and fruits with 16% and 9%, respectively.
