Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The UAE’s inflation rate, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), rose 1.89% year-on-year in October 2016, according to the Federal Competitive and Statistics Authority.
On a monthly basis, inflation went up 0.05% in October.
The year-on-year inflation increase was mainly attributed to the housing, water, electricity and gas costs grew 4.85% year-on-year and 0.07% month-on-month in in October 2016.
The education group also went up 4.99% year-on-year and 0.09% month-on-month.
