Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The UAE’s consumer price index (CPI) reached 125.75 in 2015, a 4.07% rise from 120.84 in 2014, according to a recent report by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority.
The CPI annual rise is mainly attributed to a jump in the groups of housing, education, restaurants and hotels by 8.83%, 3.76% and 2.67% in a row.
Furniture and household goods increased 2.24%, followed by transportation (+2%), food and soft drinks (+1.23%), and beverages and tobacco (+1.18%).
Abu Dhabi’s inflation rose to 5.35% in 2015, while it went up in Dubaito 3.99%.
