Dubai – Mubasher: The total UAE investments in Egypt have reached around AED 16.4 billion ($4.5 billion), the UAE economy minister Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori said on Tuesday.
These investments are injected by 520 Emirati companies into real estate and commercial projects and a diverse range of the Egyptian sectors, Al Mansoori added.
Accordingly, UAE ranks the second-biggest player behind Saudi Arabia among Arab investors and the third-largest among foreign investors in Egypt.
In the first nine months of 2015, the foreign trade volume between the two countries stood at $1.5 billion as per the ministerial statement.
Meanwhile, trade volume in free zones reached $2.3 billion.
Also, none-petroleum trade volume for 2014 grew 22.5 year-over-year to $2.5 billion.
