Mubasher: UAE’s non-oil trade rose 3% year-on-year to AED 553.4 billion AED during the first half of 2016, Satish Khanna, General Manager, Al Fajer Information and Services said on the sideline on an event.
Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum, director general of the Dubai Department of Information, opened the 31st International Autumn Trade Fair (IATF 2016) on 14 December at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
To conclude on 16 December, the trade fair is an international exhibition for consumer goods and appliances.
The Emirates exported industrial products to countries such as India 9.6%, Iran 5.6%, European Union 2.2%, Switzerland 1.9%, Iraq 1.3%, while 26% of UAE exports go to the rest of the world, the World Trade Organization (WTO) said earlier.
“The imports came from the EU 16.3%, India 13.6%, China 7.1%, US 6.9%, Japan 3.9%, and the rest of the world 23.9%,” WTO added.
