Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Thursday announced the implementation of Zayed International Fund for Co-Existence.
The move aims to support global initiatives based on the “human fraternity document” with the purpose of enhancing the culture of tolerance and peace worldwide, Arabian Business reported.
This follows the historic visit of Pope Francis, head of the Catholic Church, and Ahmad El-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al Azhar Al Sharif, to Abu Dhabi.
The UAE-based fund will also work on supporting efforts for developing school syllabi to spread the values of fraternity among young people and providing postgraduate scholarships for conducting further research.
Awareness programmes will also be provided to produce relevant annual reports, books and translations in several languages.
