UAE stock markets close Monday up; market cap records AED 11bn

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have witnessed an upward performance by the end of Monday's trading session, with market cap values exceeding AED 11 billion.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) rose by 1.75% to end Monday's session at 2,219.82 points for the first time since mid-October.

A total of 168.98 million shares had been traded through 3,874 transactions valued at AED 252.29 million.

The market cap value increased by AED 3.37 billion to around AED 314.1 billion, compared to AED 310.73 billion during the previous session.

ENBD REIT led the rising stocks with 7.45%, while Damac Properties topped the losing stocks with 4.67%.

Emaar Properties led the rising blue chips with 6.01%.

At the same time, the main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) went up by about 0.79% to close Monday's session at 4,743.43 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 452.78 million after 102.99 million shares had been exchanged through 2,973 transactions.

The market cap value grew by AED 7.75 billion to AED 727.94 billion, compared to AED 720.19 billion during the previous session.

Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) headed the green zone with 7.3%, while Abu Dhabi National Takaful Co (TKFL) came on top of the red zone with 4.93%.
