UAE stock markets close Tuesday on positive note

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have maintained the upward performance by the end of Tuesday's trading session.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) rose by around 0.79% or 18.26 points to close Tuesday's trading session at 2,317.31 points, marking its highest level since September.

Around 220.67 million shares were traded through 4,328 transactions valued at AED 348.94 million.

The market cap value increased by AED 1.85 billion to around AED 325.38 billion, compared to AED 323.53 billion during the previous session.

Damac Properties led the rising stocks with 5.66%, while Ekttitab Holding came on top of the losing stocks with 1.67%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index went up by around 0.17% or 8.26 points to end today's session at 4960.13 points, exceeding 4,900 points for the first time since mid-February.

Turnover amounted to about AED 1.25 billion after 259.8 million shares had been exchanged through 3,370 transactions.

The market cap value declined by AED 1.71 billion to AED 713.97 billion, compared to AED 715.68 billion during the previous session.

Abu Dhabi National Company for Building Materials (Bildco) came on top of the green zone with 4.78%, while Abu Dhabi National Takaful Co (TKFL) topped the red zone with 4.94%.
