UAE stock markets end Monday in green zone

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have closed Monday's trading session in the green zone.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) rose by 1.78% to settle at 3,059.94 points by the end of Monday's session.

A total of 384.199 million shares were traded through 8,423 transactions valued at AED 638.89 million.

Emirates Refreshments Co led the rising stocks with 8.45%, while Dar Al Takaful topped the losing stocks with 4.43%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index increased by 2.15% to end Monday's session at 8,478.596 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 2.188 billion after 319.828 million shares had been exchanged through 15,086 transactions.

Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (Taqa) headed the green zone with 14.41%, while Abu Dhabi National Co. for Building Materials (Bildco) came on top of the red zone with 9.89%.
