UAE stock markets see losses at open

Dubai-Mubasher: The UAE markets opened lower on Monday, weighed by real estate stocks.

Dubai Financial Market (DFM) lost 0.46% to reach 2,997.73 points, while Abu Dhabi Securities Market (ADX) decreased 0.14% to reach 4,050 points.

In Dubai’s market, Emaar Malls Group, Arabtec Holding and Emaar Properties declined 1.2%, 0.9% and 0.7%, respectively.

The telecom sector decreased as du levelled down 1.7%.

As for Abu Dhabi’s market, the energy, real estate and banks sectors witnessed a negative performance.

Stock-wise, Dana Gas, Aldar Properties and First Gulf Bank slid 3.9%, 2.10% and 0.87 in a row.

The telecom sector went up as Etisalat grew 0.31% to AED 16.10.
