UAE stocks likely to rise Tuesday; liquidity seen improving

By: Mahmoud Gamal

Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE stock markets are expected to see a positive performance on Tuesday, amid expectations that some foreign and institutional investors will pump new liquidity into the coming session after stocks reached attractive price levels, technical analyst Badr Al Otaibi told Mubasher.

Traders are still focusing on the banks sector, yet the markets’ liquidity is still “modest”, Al Otaibi added.

Lower speculations on small-cap stocks led to a decline in the liquidity level of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), the analyst noted.

The stocks of some troubled companies started to rise following expectations of improvement of their operational performance.

The markets are expected to be backed by plans of some listed real estate companies to expand, capital market analyst Gamal Abdullah told Mubasher.

The DFM is expected to move between 3,420 and 3,450 points in the coming sessions, he added.

Abu Dhabi’s bourse is likely to move within the range of 4,570-4,630 points, Abdullah noted.
