Dubai - Mubasher: The UAE Securities and Commodities Authority and the Emirates Classification Society (Tasneef) consider compelling listed companies to apply the international standards for combating corruption and bribery, according to the CEO of Tasneef.

Rashed Al Hebsi, the CEO of Tasneef, added in a precc conference on Thursday in Dubai that Tasneef has signed an agreement with the Securities and Commodities Authority to issue certificates of conformity in areas related to business continuity, social responsibility, and anti-corruption measures.

Al Hebsi added that the cooperation between the two institutions shows the importance of applying the ISO 37001:2016 standards, to help enhance the local economy of the United Arab Emirates, and the governance system as well as institutional discipline.

The UAE ministry of economy has asked Tasneef to apply the international standard, in order to become the world’s first ministry with the standards for combating financial corruption and bribery.
