Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The 2016 operational plan of UAE’s Ministry of Energy includes carrying out three new projects in the energy and water sectors, said Fatma Al Mukhaini, Head of Corporate Development Department at the ministry.
Al Mukhaini added that the projects include starting the first phase of energy efficiency project in the federal government buildings, water loss project and the second phase of the national campaign to rationalise of water and energy consumption.
The plan also includes developing a water strategy, as well as drawing up a legislation that links all production units of renewable energy distributed over electrical networks in Northern Emirates.
As part of its plan, the ministry will draft regulations for green government buildings.
