Dubai – Mubasher: Emirati minister of economy Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori said that his country is targeting to increase the share of small and medium enterprises (SME) in the UAE’s gross domestic product (GDP).
The SME share currently represents 65% of the GDP, and the country targets raising it to 90%, according to a ministry statement.
The UAE has made significant progress in terms of supporting the SME sector, whether from the government or the private sector, Al Mansoori added, noting that the SME law, which led to the establishment of SMEs council, helped granting many facilities and incentives to SME owners.
