Mubasher: The UAE was the most attractive property destination in the GCC last year, acquiring 86.8% of the Gulf buyers with a 29,371 properties registered in 2015.
GCC ownership in the region reached amounted to 33,824 properties in 2015, an increase of 44% from 23,509 properties seen in 2014, according to the Information Department at the GCC General Secretariat.
The number of purchased properties stood at 184,092 properties by the end of 2015, compared to 153,678 in the prior-year period.
Oman came in the second place, attracting 9.2% of the total property purchases.
Saudi citizens acquired the largest share of the total property ownerships in the GCC, with a total 10,896 properties in 2015.
