UAE tops Qatar’s GCC trade partners in Q3

Mubasher: The GCC countries have been the third destinations of Qatar’s exports during the third quarter of 2018, topped by the UAE.

Qatari exports to the GCC acquired 3.9% of total exports with a combined value of QAR 3.11 billion ($860 million) in Q3-18, according to a recent report released by the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS).

On the other hand, imports of the gas-rich country from GCC nations over the previous quarter represented 3.7% of total imports with an amount of QAR 29.96 billion ($8.29 billion).

The UAE topped the GCC destinations of Qatari exports with a total value of QAR 1.4 billion, followed by Kuwait and Oman with QAR 1.1 billion and QAR 700 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, Oman headed the GCC’s exports to Qatar with QAR 900 million, followed by Kuwait with QAR 200 million.
