Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE is seen as the world’s most attractive country for foreign direct investment (FDI), Al Bayan newspaper reported, citing a recent survey by online market research company YouGov.
Asked about the impact of globalisation and whether it is positive or not, citizens across 19 countries said that the UAE attracted investors from all over the world.
Investment in the country was backed by the absence of corporate taxes, the report said.
Around 69% of UAE citizens were in favour of globalisation, viewing it as a point of strength, while 13% opposed it and 18% were unsure about how they felt towards it or did not care, according to data compiled by YouGov.
The UAE’s political and economic stability compared to Gulf and Arab counterparts was also among the reasons investors preferred the country for investment.
Top foreign investors in the UAE came from the UK, Japan, and Hong Kong, according to the survey.
