UAE - Mubasher: The UAE has topped the world's countries in the 'Movers' subranking, which evaluates up-and-coming economies, for the third consecutive year, with an overall score of 100, according to the 2021 US News Best Countries rankings.
"Movers" subranking assesses the world's economies in terms of resiliency and momentum in overcoming risks and unpredictability associated with the economic transition, based on four attributes: different, distinctive, dynamic, and unique.
The subranking uses a model to predict a country’s future growth in terms of per capita purchasing power and parity gross domestic product.
The US News report is based on a survey that asked over 17,000 people from four regions to evaluate perceptions of 78 countries on 76 different metrics.
The UAE has been ranked first in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and 22th globally in the 2021 US News Best Countries rankings, with an overall score of 66.9.
Meanwhile, the UAE was placed in the tenth position in the 'Power' subranking, 12th in 'Cultural Influence', 21th in 'Agility', and 24th in 'Quality of Life'.
