Dubai – Mubasher: The tourism and travel contributions to the UAE’s economy could reach $34.6 billion (AED 126.98 billion) by 2026, according to the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).
The UAE’s tourism market achieved a big growth in terms of tourists' numbers over the last decade, which in return boosted the receipts of both tourism and travel sectors, said Al Aabdi Holding’s chairman Saeed Al Aabdi.
National carriers’ expansion turned the UAE into an international air transport hub, the top official added.
The increasing demand in the tourism sector caused a major increase in the hotel projects across the country, Al Aabdi concluded.
