Cairo – Mubasher: London-based BP plc on Monday announced that it has begun gas production from Egypt’s Atoll offshore gas field seven months ahead of schedule and 33% below the initial cost estimate.
The project produces 350 million cubic feet of gas per day and 10,000 barrels per day (bpd) of condensate, the oil industry company added in a press release.
Total net output from BP’s new projects is projected to reach 900,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day by 2021, the company highlighted.
