Cairo – Mubasher: The British Sea Dragon Energy Inc. (SDX) announced it has discovered a new well in Rabul 2 field in west Ras Gharib.
The newly discovered well has about 101.5 feet of heavy oil, with an average porosity of 20%, according to a statement.
The Rabul 2 well was drilled right after drilling the Rabul 1, which was finished in July 2017.
Minister of petroleum and mineral resources Tarek El-Molla had previously said that the ministry achieved a huge record in the history of petroleum industries by signing 83 agreements with global firms for oil and gas explorations.
Egypt plans to increase its gas output 50% by June 2018, as it provided investments worth $31 billion in three to four years to develop gas discoveries.
