Dubai – Mubasher: Berkshire Hathaway’s unit, Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), on Monday unveiled its expansion plan in the Middle East with a new office in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
BHSI has hired Alessandro Cerase as DIFC’s office senior executive officer and appointed Neeraj Yadvendu as his Deputy, the US-based company said in a statement.
"The strategic location of Dubai, as well as the stability and efficiency of the DIFC, make it an ideal hub for BHSI to support economic growth in the region," the insurance corporation revealed.
DIFC houses other regional offices of global banks such as JPMorgan Chase & Co., Goldman Sachs Group, and Citigroup.
