Cairo – Mubasher: US Singularity University (SU) has launched “Global Challenge: From an Idea in Your Mind to Affecting the Lives of One Billion People” competition in Egypt, the Middle East, and North Africa July 2019.
The competition was launched in collaboration with Challenge Group and Endure Capital, which invest in startups, according to a statement.
The new competition is a unique experience that incentivises creativity in startups and innovative people, helping them face the challenges of the modern world through out-of-the-box solutions, Endure Capital said.
The fields covered by the competition include energy, agriculture, health, education, financial technological, the company added.
The competition will see the selection of 20 startups, one of which will be picked to win $60,000 (around EGP 1 million) grant to join the Global Startup Program, representative of Singularity University in Egypt noted.
The program supports entrepreneurs that have a future vision to have positive effects on many people, he added.
The winner of SU’s competition will be announced in July 2019.
