Cairo – Mubasher: The US dollar exchange rate inched down against the Egyptian pound by 4:00pm Cairo time on Wednesday at Egypt-based banks.
The USD – EGP pair traded at 16.9 and 17.75 for buy and sale respectively, according to the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank.
Banque Misr and the Commercial International Bank (CIB) set the bid price at EGP 16.9 and the ask quote at EGP 17.25 per dollar.
According to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), the average exchange rate stood at EGP 17.97 for asks side and EGP 17.58 for bids.
