Cairo – Mubasher: The US dollar extended its rally against the Egyptian pound and nearing EGP 18 by 2:00 on Tuesday.
The USD – EGP pair traded at 17.45 and 17.95 for buy and sale respectively, according to the Commercial International Bank (CIB) and the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank.
The National Bank of Egypt set EGP 17.75 per dollar for buy and EGP 17.85 per dollar for sale.
According to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), the exchange rate remained unchanged at EGP 17.23 for asks side and EGP 16.39 for bids.
